{"id":350,"date":"2014-10-11T20:56:25","date_gmt":"2014-10-12T02:56:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sdrcd.org\/main\/?page_id=350"},"modified":"2015-03-03T13:13:40","modified_gmt":"2015-03-03T19:13:40","slug":"main-news","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sdrcd.org\/main\/main-news\/","title":{"rendered":"Main &#8211; News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Main &#8211; News<\/p>\n<p><strong>South Dakota Section of The Wildlife Society presented the 2015\u00a0Wildlife Professional of the Year award to Dennie Mann<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>at their annual conference in Chamberlain.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em><span style=\"color: #006600; font-size: large;\">Wildlife Professional Award<\/span><\/em><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> &#8211; <\/span><strong><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: xx-small;\">Presented annually to a wildlife professional who has, over the course of their career, made an outstanding contribution to wildlife management in South Dakota.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sdrcd.org\/main\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/DSC_2565.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-781\" src=\"http:\/\/sdrcd.org\/main\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/DSC_2565-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_2565\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sdrcd.org\/main\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/DSC_2565-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sdrcd.org\/main\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/DSC_2565-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/sdrcd.org\/main\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/DSC_2565-272x182.jpg 272w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dennie&#8217;s career began in Chamberlain as a habitat technician, 14 years as Conservation Officer in Murdo, 8 years as Assistant Regional Supervisor in Rapid City, and 13 years as Regional Habitat Manager.\u00a0 Dennie continues to work for\u00a0conservation as vice president for SDRC&amp;D, Pennington County Weed Board, Executive Director of BHRC&amp;D, Public Lands Chairman for SDTWS, Board of Directors for the Greater Dacotah Chapter of Safari Club International, Executive Director for SISMA.<\/p>\n<p>Conservation and volunteering run in the family as Mary Ann received the <strong><em><span style=\"color: #006600; font-size: large;\">Citizens Award<\/span><\/em><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> &#8211; <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: xx-small;\"><strong>Presented each year to a South Dakota resident who has made a significant contribution to wildlife in the state for 2013 <\/strong>from SDTWS and received the <span style=\"color: #006600; font-size: large;\"><strong><em>Citizens Award<\/em><\/strong><\/span> <strong>from Central Mountains and Plains section of TWS for 2014.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Main &#8211; News South Dakota Section of The Wildlife Society presented the 2015\u00a0Wildlife Professional of the Year award to Dennie Mann at their annual conference in Chamberlain.
